Mrs. Brenda Cornett


I have been in education for 20 years. I started out working in the Madison County Schools Central Office as an Insurance Clerk. While there I began the Fifth Year Program in Business Education at Alabama A&M University. I began teaching at Buckhorn High School in August of 1998 and then moved to Bob Jones High School in August of 2001. I completed my AA Certification in Business Education in December of 2001. My daughter Ellie was born in February of 2002. I taught Business Education at Bob Jones until August of 2009, at which time I moved into the Media Center as a Technology Specialist and AP Test Coordinator. While working in the Media Center, I completed my Ed.S. in Educational Leadership at Samford University. In October of 2011 I became an Instructional Specialist at the Madison City Schools ACCESS Support Center. In August of 2014 I became the Assistant Principal at the Madison County Career and Technical Center and in August of 2016 I moved to Asbury High School as the Business Education Teacher.

At Asbury, I teach Advance Business Technology Applications, Business Technology Applications, and Entrepreneurship. I sponsor Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and am a Senior Sponsor.
