My name is Susan Franklin and I am originally from Chicago, IL.  I have worked at Asbury High School since January 2012 and I absolutely love it here.  My students definitely become "my  kids" throughout the school year.  I am looking forward to a great 2019-20 school year and getting to know my new students better.  I am married to Mark Franklin, who is originally from Albertville, AL.  We met while we were both serving on active duty in the United States Air Force and stationed in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (way too cold up there!).  We have two sons; our older son, Mark, is married to Jessica and is a high school teacher.  Luke, our younger son, is currently living and working in Illinois.

In my spare time I am an avid reader, and as my family and friends know and appreciate, I love to bake and share my homemade goodies, though it's sometimes difficult to get the treats out of my own house!  I enjoy working with my students and hope that I am able to make a positive difference in their lives every day.
